Abstract
Image segmentation is an old and difficult problem in digital image processing. Thresholding methods are widely used in image segmentation because of their simplicity and efficiency. They mainly include global thresholding and local thresholding. This paper studies different thresholding methods for image segmentation, including global, local, point dependent, and region dependent methods.
