Abstract
Chapter 23 documents the various artificial intelligence (AI) usage methods and benefits in a medical imaging system and healthcare surveillance in disease outbreak via the emerging machine intelligence technologies. AI is the adoption of human intelligence processes by computer systems to enable the adaption of theory and development in machine-manned technology. The intuitive system has been largely used in data mining ability combining big-scaled data compiling information into theories to guide scientific innovations in material science fields. The considerable promise of AI has resulted in the improved efficacy of the imaging system development through material science technology adoption. AI systems are now taking center stage in the medical field to conduct tasks such as medical surveillance systems, diagnoses treatment, recommendations to cope with precision management in healthcare, so-called precision medicine. An efficient medical imaging system and healthcare epidemiological data surveillance are essential in the era of precision medicine in ensuring a specific treatment is tailored to patient problems. The colossal data usage and AI software development platforms are taking effect and having impact across medical imaging workhorses.
