Abstract
This research proposes an AI-assisted mentoring system for programming education, leveraging the advanced capabilities of OpenAI's GPT-4. We aim to validate students' pseudocode or algorithmic approaches to Python programming problems within the context of a Tier-1 institution in India, where the high student-to-mentor ratio presents unique challenges. The proposed system aspires to alleviate the pressures of the current mentoring system, providing a more accessible, responsive, and effective educational support system.
