• ChatGPT undoubtedly saves time but hampers creativity; it reduces thinking capacity and destroys human intelligence. • AI systems might offer insights and support for oral cancer diagnosis and treatment planning; at the same time, healthcare professionals retain ultimate responsibility for patient care in a collaborative effort that can result in more effective and reliable oral cancer treatment decisions. • Initiatives involving oral cancer care education, research, and practice stakeholders are the need of the hour to contemplate the ethical and responsible use of ChatGPT in oral oncology.
