Além da introdução este artigo está organizado da seguinte forma. A segunda seção apresenta uma perspectiva da adoção da IA pelas empresas e pelo governo no Brasil. A terceira seção apresenta uma análise bibliométrica da produção científica produção sobre IA. A quarta seção mostra a regulamentação e orientação dos Poderes Executivos do Brasil e países do G7. A quinta seção apresenta razões pelas quais o Poder Executivo brasileiro deveria ser mais ativo na regulação da IA. A sexta seção traz as considerações finais.
