Abstract
In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has been fundamentally reshaping the landscape of higher education, ushering in significant new tools, and transforming practices. As AI carries profound implications for higher education, this chapter looks ahead to the future of AI in higher education. It investigates the impact of AI from six different perspectives: the global view, academic integrity, pedagogy, personalized learning, the role of educators concerning AI, and ethics. It also makes recommendations for future actions on the part of higher education and expresses the need for a focus on guidelines and regulatory frameworks to ensure that AI is ethically adopted and implemented.
