Abstract
This study investigates the intention to use ChatGPT, an AI tool, for collecting online health information among the Hungarian population. Initially, 12 explanatory latent variables were identified through a comprehensive literature review. A questionnaire was distributed online, resulting in 313 respondents. Using backward linear regression analysis, we identified 7 latent variables that significantly influence the intention to use ChatGPT for online health information seeking. These variables are Information Seeking Skills, Expertise, Transparency, Subjective Norm, Perceived Risk, Perceived Reliability, and Perceived Understandability. The final model explains 68.5% of the variance in the intention to use ChatGPT (R2 = 0.685).
