Abstract
Aims & Objectives: Little guidance is provided to new staff that join the research team with effective strategies to engage clinical staff with research. Information given is usually anecdotal and based on one person’s experience with a particular department. This pilot survey was conducted with an aim, 1. Overview of the research team describing strategies employed to increase research engagement. 2. Comparison of strategies in order of importance with staff and ChatGPT–also to assess whether any new novel strategies were described. 3.Use the list of strategies as an educational tool for new research staff Methods: Survey was developed and sent to research team–list of strategies were compared using the same question with ChatGPT. Results: The below figures describes the results of the pilot survey in the following categories, 1. Most used strategies, 2. Comparision of strategies ranked in order of priority and 3. Obstacles in implementating strategies. Conclusions: There is reluctance and apprehension of using ChatGPT in healthcare however there is a place for using this tool in education and part of the induction for new staff that join the research team. It can be used to provide more of an overview of the strategies which can be used but then tailored to the speciality. Further work is needed on validating the strategies and the obstacles faced by research team in implementing the strategies. This work can serve as a conceptual framework for developing and testing future interventions. Keywords: ChatGPT, ChatGPT as education too, ChatGPT Research
