Role of ChatGPT in Selection and Recruitment Process: A Digital Transformation

Abstract
The generative artificial intelligence (AI) models used by ChatGPT and its derivatives have gained significant traction in academic and media discourse over their possible advantages and disadvantages in relation to a range of areas of the economy, democracy, society, and environment. It is yet unclear if these technologies lead to the creation or displacement of jobs, or if they only change the nature of human employment by producing new, essentially meaningless, information and choices. The study’s findings indicate that there is a lot of room for improvement in the efficacy, productivity, and transparency of HR procedures when using ChatGPT as a decision-support tool in HR management. ChatGPT and other AI models can function as text-based virtual assistants, supporting hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee assistance procedures. HR managers may make better decisions by using ChatGPT to collect insightful data about workers and the workplace.
