Abstract
ChatGPT has increasingly become a significant player in writing practices. Its texts are potentially powerful enough to influence how writing is approached in schools. This study aims to analyze texts created by ChatGPT to understand its strengths and limitations. It was tasked with writing various essays, which were then analyzed thematically. The findings suggest that while the texts can mimic human responses, they lack context and critical judgment. Despite their coherence, they are still seen as linguistic artifacts lacking deep reasoning. This raises questions about whether the challenges it presents stem from its emergence or pre-existing issues in the educational system.
