Abstract
The rapid digitization of healthcare systems has created transformative advancements in healthcare. While these technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) promise enhanced patient care and operational efficiency, they expose healthcare organizations to unprecedented cybersecurity risks. AI can play a multifaceted role in fortifying healthcare cybersecurity, focusing on safeguarding patient data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining operational stability. While AI can enhance cybersecurity through real-time threat detection, automated incident response, and intelligent access control, its integration with healthcare systems also presents new vulnerabilities, requiring rigorous oversight. Additionally, the chapter discusses regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and privacy concerns surrounding AI in healthcare, emphasizing the need for coordinated global regulatory efforts and ethical AI deployment.
