Abstract
The emergence of artificial intelligence offers promising prospects. The integration of AI into the various practices of agile software development should increase productivity, efficiency, quality, innovation and minimize project delays through the automation of routine tasks. AI also brings with it a central ethical challenge. Objective This study aims to determine future guidelines and gaps relating to the alliance of artificial intelligence and agility in software development, and more specifically in the Moroccan context, the authors stated that an analysis of studies established in the past and present is crucial, even inevitable, to establish and build a foundation for the future. Methodology We followed the guidelines recommended by Kitchenham to produce a systematic review. We examined 1308 papers, 16 of which were directly relevant to our problem. Six databases were chosen: IEEEXPLORE, SCOPUS, Web of Science, ACM, Science direct and DBLP. Results The results show that the perception and adoption of agility depend first and foremost on the context, the corporate culture and the mindset of teams, but also on customer requirements and the nature of projects. The benefits, challenges and barriers to adopting agility in Morocco are in line with existing literature. The application of AI in agile software development projects in Morocco remains a notable gap in the literature.
