Abstract
Less than three years after the introduction of the generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT in November 2022, generative AI has become deeply integrated into daily life.Numerous platforms now exist that can generate not only text but also voice, images, and videos, and they are widely used across diverse fields.Large language models (LLMs) constitute a core sub-technology specialized in language generation and comprehension [1], and they are actively employed in medical and nursing research [2][3][4].Authors can use AI for various research-related tasks, including identifying research topics, designing studies, collecting and preprocessing data, analyzing results, generating diagrams, writing manuscripts in accordance with reporting guidelines, searching for references, translating and proofreading English text, and drafting English abstracts [5].Reviewers can use AI for manuscript evaluation, editors for screening and editing [6] (Figure 1), and publishers for tasks such as manuscript editing and creating Journal Article Tag Suite XML [7] and PDF files. In short, AI can be applied throughout the entire research process-from conception to publication.Figure 2.
