Recent studies have shown both the strengths and weaknesses of such systems. For example, Van Staden (2025) explained that earlier versions like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 worked well in areas such as writing and education but sometimes gave incorrect or unclear answers. Karpatne and colleagues (2025) noted that these systems are becoming important tools in learning, research, and simulations, but they still need to become more trustworthy[2].
