Abstract

In today’s digital age, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a transformative force in education, with tools like ChatGPT gaining widespread use among students. Learners increasingly rely on ChatGPT to search for information, complete assignments, and enhance writing skills, which makes studying more efficient and timesaving. However, its growing presence in education has sparked debates regarding its impact on learning. While some scholars argue that ChatGPT fosters accessibility and provides immediate explanations, others caution that it may diminish creativity, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving. This study investigates the influence of ChatGPT on students’ academic performance, study habits, and overall educational experiences. By examining its benefits and limitations, the research aims to assess whether ChatGPT should be viewed primarily as a supportive learning tool or as a potential challenge to meaningful learning.
