Advancing Healthcare with Artificial Intelligence: A Literature Review

Abstract
The healthcare sector is rapidly transforming through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), reshaping both administrative and clinical processes. AI has shown significant progress in early disease detection, diagnostic support, and treatment recommendations, improving patient outcomes. This literature review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies from 2019-2024, highlighting both foundational and emerging AI applications. Evidence shows that AI in diagnostic imaging and predictive analytics enhances clinical decision-making, accuracy, efficiency, and resource allocation. However, research gaps remain in integrating AI into specialized care areas, ensuring interoperability with electronic health records, and establishing standardized regulatory frameworks.
