Abstract
Generative AI, blockchain, mobile health (mHealth), wearables, sensors, and smart CDSS are emerging trends in healthcare. Generative AI using deep learning and NLP improves diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome prediction. Blockchain ensures secure, transparent, and patient-owned medical records. mHealth apps support communication, monitoring, and AI-driven diagnosis, while wearables and sensors enable real-time health tracking and personalized care. The integration of these technologies has some considerations like data harmonization, compatibility, legal issues and security vulnerabilities. This chapter explores the use, benefits, and limits of these technologies, with real-world examples and a look at future directions. It highlights the need for multidisciplinary work on AI interpretability, federated learning, and ethical guidelines. In conclusion, integrating these technologies can transform clinical decision-making and enhance patient-centered care.
