Abstract

Background: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming medicine by improving diagnostic accuracy and personalizing treatments. Supports doctors with evidence-based guidance, and enhances efficiency. We living a new era in medicine where AI can be applied to clinical practice. The readiness for AI application in healthcare is understanding and addressing the gaps in integration and interoperability between AI technologies and existing healthcare systems. Aim of the study: Assessing readiness of faculty to utilize artificial intelligence in healthcare. Objectives: 1-To assess the general attitude of doctors towards AI in healthcare. 2-To identify the perceived benefits and challenges associated with AI in the medical practice. Methodology: A Cross-section study. On A web-based questionnaire was filled out voluntarily by Delta University medical faculty then descriptive statistics were made . Results: A total of 60 completed questionnaires were received. Among these 60 questionnaires, the majority of these physicians are between ages 30 and 50 years old, about 43 responses (71.7%) in which 21 responses (35%) and 22 response (36.7%) in the age group 30-40 and 40-50 respectively. Conclusion: This study reveals a moderate familiarity and a strong willingness among faculty to adopt AI in healthcare. However, 53% of faculty members have never attended an AI-related course. The findings highlight the need for enhancing AI literacy.
