Abstract
While mainstream media and tech oligarchs try to herald artificial intelligence (AI) as the remedy to all of humanity’s woes, we should be asking ourselves if that reall is the reality we want to live in. Even though the integration of AI has been pushed on us as inevitable, ask yourself, how much value is mainstream AI actually adding to your everyday life? And at what cost? The flip side is rarely spoken about. Generative AI has led to an explosion of new tools, but it has also amplified long-standing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and ethical dilemmas that are not being discussed at the necessary scale or with the necessary urgency to keep up with AI development.
