Abstract
Active implementation of digital solutions in healthcare requires their systematization for effective analysis, regulation and integration. The authors present the first original faceted classification of digital medical products and services (DMPS) in the Russian Federation. Methodology included analysis of international experience (WHO, Digital Therapeutics Alliance), identification of necessary classification parameters, and structure validation using examples of existing DMPS. Classification structure principles were developed: multidirectionality, multiplicity and completeness of parameter list. As a result, a multidimensional model is proposed. The last one comprises six key aspects: user, object of impact, purpose, implementation platform, operating principle, and indication of artificial intelligence. Combination of parameters for each element allows for flexible and unambiguous description of any DMPS, as well as assignment of a unique faceted code. This is the key advantage of original system. Practical applicability was successfully demonstrated on examples of three diverse DMPS: mobile application for telemedicine consultations, clinical decision-making support system using AI for analysis of X-ray images and automated drug warehouse management system in a hospital. Original classification is intended to serve as a basis for standardizing the processes of implementation, circulation, and funding of digital solutions. This is critically important for digital transformation of healthcare in the Russian Federation.
