Abstract
The increased integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into hybrid mobility within the ENHANCE Alliance in Europe raises a number of pedagogical, organisational, and regulatory questions. This chapter examines the AI policy in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), by analysing its implementation, such as AI administrative chatbots, AI-supported collaboration in group tasks, AI as a reflective teammate, and LLM-enabled co-creation. The study adopts a qualitative, document-based analysis supported by institutional evidence and the EU legal frameworks, particularly the AI Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Additionally, UNESCO's Guidance for Generative AI in Education and Research provides a global perspective. Our findings reveal that the discussed AI cases require careful alignment with the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and human-centred (international and institutional) governance to ensure responsible and inclusive educational innovation in BIPs.
