Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI), in particular, is reshaping the landscape and vision of oncology and opening up new and significant opportunities to improve the management of cancer patients. By examining intelligence-driven devices approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), we found that cancer diagnosis is the one areas of oncology that intelligence permeates and has the greatest impact on treatment. Additionally, breast, lung, and prostate cancers represent some of the most common types of cancers currently utilizing AI-based tools. The future vision of AI in oncology has been discussed: the creation of multidisciplinary systems, understanding the importance of all tumors, including rare ones, and providing continuous support for their development are now the most important challenges of AI revolution in oncology.
