Abstract
Abstract: Over the past decade, there has been marked progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in medicine. In the field of hepatology, AI can aid in predicting disease risk and prognosis, optimizing patient care through improvements in diagnostic efficiency, and developing therapeutic strategies. Therefore, it seems that physicians must become more acquainted with the different AI modalities and their potential applications. In this article, we explore the current status and applications of AI in liver ultrasound illustrating the key principles and concepts in the field. We also highlight the main obstacles facing AI implementation in clinical practice and the potential future benefits and directions.
