Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly integrated into the daily academic routine of students, it is also altering the way that they are studying, fulfilling the tasks, and communicating with their instructors. The major students globally use software and Application tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini to provide quick explanations, solve problems, and even in their personal learning support. This paper reveals to us not only the most popular AI technologies among the students today but also explores that the role of teachers is being transformed by the tools. As per the questionnaire answers of my survey using Google forms, these results are indicative that the students are increasingly using AI to get the ready access to information to save time, and also enhance the learning ability of the students in the complicated issues. Consequently, the role of the teachers is slowly changing to the main provider of the knowledge to the one of a facilitator, mentor, and guide towards the learning process of the students. Meanwhile, the student-teacher relations are rather dynamic on the one hand, as there is a lack of direct dependence on the academic level of students, but it is also on the one hand that the students require guidance in critical thinking and ethical application of AI. Although the AI provides us with a set of more important benefits including accessibility, efficiency and even personalized learning, it also brings about the issues of over-dependence, diminished human interaction, and also the integrity of the academics. This paper points out that the key to maintaining the balance between the introduction of AI and the retention of the traditional teaching approach to make us the successful and valuable learning experience. Finally, AI is not to be regarded solely as the substitute of teachers, yet it is also the supplementary resource that will improve both of the two teaching and learning experiences.
